So as many of you know I've been involved in the group Invisible Children over the past 2 1/2 years. Fall Out Boy has joined the cause and has done many things to raise awarenes for the IC. Here is their latest effort to help. I think it was well done. Let me know what you think.

Blog Pizaz

i am definately lacking that. I have no theme and no picture of any kind. Can you help me? I need blog theme ideas. I have to have something other than my name displaying at the top. I want it to pop. There has to be something unique about me that can be reflected in my blog personality. Mabe i will offer a prize to the winning idea.

What I Love About Fall

I think its my favorite time of year. And here are some of the reasons why.

1. The first cool down from summer comes in the fall. The air is so crisp, fresh and clean. It's a nice relief from the Texas heat.
2. My favorite holidays are in the fall, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
3. You get to keep the windows open and let the fresh air into the house.
4. It's nice spending time outside. It's not too hot or cold.
5. The trees changing colors.
6. Going for a Sunday drive through the Texas Hill Country as the leaves change.

oh where oh where did I go?

I think about blogging on this site all the time. But does it ever happen? No. By the time I get around to doing it its just too late. I sold my new camera that I got in November and just purchased a new one. So maybe you will start to see some more activity on here. Here are all the great opportunities for blogging that I'm going to have in the next couple of months.

1. The Dodds coming to SA for a visit.
2. My trip to California
3. My business trip to Dallas
4. I'll be taking my cousins family portraits and possibly my uncle's family portraits

That's a lot of potential blogging. If you don't start hearing from me in the next week or so start pestering me for it. I need to get back in the habit of blogging.

So You Think You Can Dance

So You Think You Can Dance is one of my favorite summer series. This year has been really good. The talent is incredible. I have a clip here of one of my favorite pairs. This is Hok & Jaime. Their dance this week was Jazz. Hok is supposed to be a hummingbird and Jaime is the flower. I hope you enjoy this as much as I have.

Kirra in the hospital

I know I started blogging again and then disappeared again. My cousin Tammie's little girl Kirra was in the hospital and I went to Dallas to help out for awhile. So this weekend was all about the girls. The day started off with maicures and pedicures and ended with dinner and drinks on the river cruise. It was a beautiful evening and we had a wonderful time. Enjoy the pictures!

Josh Groban Concert

All I have to say is, ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! So, the Josh Groban concert was very last minute. I wanted to book tickets for this concert before they came on sale. We were going to splurge and get floor seats but for some reason we never got around to doing it and then when we did they were all gone.

Today I got online to check out the John Mayer tickets that are going on sale Saturday and I accidentally clicked on Josh Groban. I knew he was coming this week but I kind of already thought he had been in and out of town. I was curious to see what was still available and I found a few that were left in the nose bleeds. There was also a set of floor tickets.

I was curious what ebay had and I got in on the last two minutes of an auction. The starting bid for tickets that were right behind the floor seats were $60. There were no bids and I emailed the seller for more info. Long story short, I got almost $200 worth of tickets for $60.

Jennifer and I got to the AT&T Center right on time and were freaking out over our $30 seats. There was only one problem...our seats were broken and basically falling back on the people behind us. We finally found someone to complain to and they didn't do anything about it. So after the opening group Jennifer went looking for help. It was very uncomfortable for us and the people behind us. By the way, the opening act was wonderful. They were from Africa.

Long story a little bit shorter, they moved us to the floor, center!! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! I thought we were freaking out before but now we were on he verge of hyperventilation. So we are sitting there freaking out waiting for it to start asking ourselves if it could get any better. Well, it did.....

So we notice security is getting tight all around us. For good reason we came to find out. Josh was literally 2 feet away from us singing. I tried to take picture with my phone but I can't find the picture. My camera phone sucks. I should have taken it with my digital.

During the whole concert, especially at this time, Jennifer and I are trying not to turn into one of those girls that are screaming and crying and about to pass out at the sight of there favorite musician, star... We have relentlessly made fun of those girls over the years. Well we were pretty close to becoming that. There was definitely hyperventilation, screaming and many times close to tears. I know, its pathetic but I could careless.

Josh Groban is phenomenal! It was by far the best concert I have EVER been to and I'm not so sure that anything could top it except for maybe another one of his. When he sings, it literally takes the breathe right out of you. Words cannot not describe it. I think you have to experience it for yourself. I highly recommend attending one and spending the money for the floor tickets.

So that was my day/night in a nutshell. To sum it all up we got floor seats for $30 each and came within two feet of one of our favorite people ever. It was a really good day. Definitely hand picked by God. God bless the man who couldn't make it. Are there any other Josh Groban fans out there? What is your favorite song? I would love to know.

If you live in the area, you know just how beautiful its been lately. On one of those beautiful days, we took the girls to the wildlife ranch. We had a great time. It was Emma's first time there.

Three of my friends turned 30 this year over a couple of weeks time. They threw an 80's themed birthday party. It was a lot of fun dressing up. I didn't have a lot of time to prepare or shop. I wasn't supposed to be able to make it to the party.

So these are my new roommates. My best friend and her family moved in with me the first of February. They are deciding whether or not to move several states away from me or if they want to go ahead and build here. I opt for them staying here.

So over the weekend I thought that I'd try to do something new. In effort to save money, I decided to wax my own eyebrows. That was a huge mistake. I started practicing on my chin and mustache. I know, its terrible. I inherited hair in places girls shouldn't have it. Thanks Daddy... The chin went well and the upper lip was so so. Terrible but not so terrible that it would scare me away from doing my eyebrows. I get to my eyebrows, place the shapers on them and then apply the wax. So far so good. This is where is gets bad. I can't seem to pull the wax of. It's stuck on my eye! So I thought well maybe its not on thick enough so I applied more. The next thing I know I have wax throughout my entire eyebrow. I am now afraid to pull she shaper off for fear that the eyebrow comes with it. What do I do? The kit didn't come with any oil to help remove leftover wax. Out of desperation I went into the kitchen and grabbed the bottle of vegetable oil and went to work. After much work and a very oily face later I got all the wax off without losing any eyebrow. By the way, the smell of oil on my face was discusting. Made me want to vomitt.

So my quest for a cheap eyebrow waxing ends here. I am now willing to pay the money for a good wax or just pluck the dang things myself. I had pictures documenting this but they were terrible and not worth putting up.

So it's been WAY too long since I last blogged. Sorry. Life happend and time for blogging has been non-existant. I am going to try and make a better effort to do it from now on. I think I might be switching back to my film camera to do so. Well, see. I miss having pictures. Sure I have tons of pictures with the new digitial but NONE of them have been developed or even blogged. So whats the point. They are just sitting on the memory cards that they were taken on. If you don't hear from me soon on this keep me accountble and make me blog. Even if I don't know you leave me a comment.
